Announcing Adrenal World News and new e-magazine for the adrenal world

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: San Francisco – Friday, December 5, 2025 – Pituitary World News announced the launch of Adrenal World News, a new e-magazine dedicated to raising awareness of adrenal conditions which affect approximately 11 to 12 million people worldwide. Adrenal World News operates as a subsidiary of Pituitary World News, a nonprofit organization founded by Lewis S. Blevins, Jr., M.D., world-leading neuroendocrinologist, adrenal and pituitary expert, and JD Faccinetti, a communications expert and patient affected by acromegaly, a rare disorder of the pituitary gland. Pituitary World News was launched in 2014 to raise awareness of these often hard-to-detect rare disorders.

“Since founding, we’ve been learning how to best reach our audiences and effectively spread the word. Our reach has been beyond our wildest expectations, but there’s lots more work to do and millions of people to educate. Now, we will turn on the afterburners in the world of adrenal diseases,” said Faccinetti. “We have a unique platform to disseminate information,” he added. “In many ways, we are reframing the conversation by creating a network of highly informed professionals and people affected by pituitary and adrenal disorders. The secret is access to information and dialogue.”

“We think this is our best option to connect thought leaders to patients, creating access to critical expertise,” said Dr. Blevins. “We are continually reaching tens of thousands of people in the US and around the world who need information and support to manage their disease.”

Adrenal diseases can go undiagnosed for years and present with a wide range of symptoms – including fatigue, weight changes, high or low blood pressure, salt craving, hyperpigmentation, muscle weakness, electrolyte imbalances, headaches, irregular periods in women, and many more. Physicians typically treat the symptoms without identifying the underlying adrenal disorder, leading to diagnostic delays and complications.

Dr. Lewis S. Blevins, Jr. is the Medical Director of the California Center for Pituitary Disorders at the University of California San Francisco and Professor of Neurological Surgery and Medicine at UCSF. Jorge D Faccinetti is an expert in consumer insight, branding, and marketing communications, and retired from professional practice.
