We are excited to announce the latest book by Lewis S. Blevins, Jr., M.D., published by Pituitary World News. In this third installment, Dr. Blevins shares his expert approach to evaluating and managing hypopituitarism, offering insights to optimize patient treatment and well-being.
Hypopituitarism—a partial or complete deficiency of one or more anterior pituitary hormones—is a complex and nuanced condition. No two cases are alike, and challenges abound. While modern hormone therapies help patients maintain a degree of normalcy, fully restoring function remains beyond our reach due to the intricate interplay between the pituitary gland and its target organs. If you or someone you know is affected by hypopituitarism, this book serves as a vital resource, providing essential knowledge and guidance. Fabulous!! The whole world needs to know more about HypoPituitarism! Thanks for helping educate the world about HypoPituitarism Dr. Blevins and for your care. I am very fortunate to have been diagnosed and treated by you.
Surgery to remove my macro adenoma in July 24 have not been very successful. MRI in november 24 showed that the tumour has encased my internal carotid arteries with no compression. The neurosurgeon
has referred me to a Radiation oncologist for treatment. He informed me that my functioning pituitary will be affected. This is not a good outcome I am happy about. Can I have more surgery?
