One thought on “Pituitary MRI educational series: a very uncommon occurrence of an incidental pituitary lesion

  1. I LOVE this series. It is SO informative and provides narration for views that we do not usually understand. Coincidentally, I had an MRI for facial tingling and numbness 13 years ago and the MRI revealed an “incidental” macroadenoma. 2.0 x 2.0 x 2.0 cm. It was removed with the operating microscope, but because it was so firm and had invaded the cavernous sinus, it could only be “dubulked.” Nonetheless, I was left without pituitary function. The tumor remnants have been growing back slowly over the years and I have my annual MRI next week. Hoping for the best as it is approaching the optic chiasm. Shoudl you wish to review my MRIs for future posts, I would be happy to send them to you.
