From Jorge Faccinetti and Lewis Blevins, M.D. – In today’s podcasts, I ask Dr. Lewis Blevins, PWN co-founder and Medical Director, California Center for Pituitary Disorders at UCSF, Professor of Clinical Medicine and Clinical Neurological Surgery, about his views on the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We discuss the current situation from a physician’s perspective of what could be a very worrisome global situation.

I am sorry to hear your take on wearing a mask as protection. If they benefit healthcare workers, they should be considered another line of defense in the arsenal of a civilian. Seems the CDC doesn’t want to cause panic. Education of the public should win out over that. If masks protect healthcare workers in any way, our being told to forgo them is an oxymoron. When will someone speak truth? I appreciate all your work in behalf of pituitary patients. As an acromegaly patient, was hoping you would not just fall in line with the CDC and media.
Thanks Dr. Blevins and Jorge
