SAN FRANCISCO, MARCH 22, 2024 – We are very pleased to announce that Pituitary World News co-founder Lewis S. Blevins Jr. M.D. has received the 2024 AACE Excellence in Humanities Award from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. The Excellence in Humanities Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary achievements and dedication to the endocrine health community through their creativity in art, literature, or social sciences and work in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The award will be presented during AACE’s 33rd Annual Meeting, May 9-11, 2024, in New Orleans, LA. In a letter announcing the award Dr. S. Sethu K. Reddy, AACE Past-President and Chair of the Awards Committee said the awards committee and Board of Trustees/Board of Directors recognized Dr. Blevins for this unique distinction in recognition of his many accomplishments and contributions in the field of clinical endocrinology.

In a statement, Pituitary World News co-founder J D Faccinetti said Dr. Blevins was instrumental in shaping an innovative communications platform and presenting the information creatively, often adapting his considerable artistic and musical talents and background to deliver messages that resonate with the audience. “He shares his presentations, opinions, and knowledge with a transparent, straightforward approach that is easy to follow, understand, and share. All these efforts, he added, have helped propel Pituitary World News to one of the highest-rated publications with a worldwide reach. But, beyond his talents as one of the most knowledgeable and successful pituitary clinicians, he has a remarkable ability to care about and understand our audience’s needs and motivations and a great capacity to adapt creativity and science to modern communications strategies, so they are noticed and used.”
